Chinoiserie Fall Front Bureau

Late 19th Century Chinoiserie Fall Front Bureau. Elevated on an exquisite gilded cabriole leg stand with stretchers. The original chinoiserie decoration is in excellent untouched condition. 

This piece features raised lacquer, a relief technique where thick layers are sculpted to stand out from the background. 

Dimensions are 24"W x 17"D x 42.5"H, measurements are taken from the widest, deepest, and highest points. When the bureau is open, it is 31" deep and 30.5" high to the top of the "desk".
